Resthaven Ministries launches new home for senior citizens at New Life Centre on Mandela Day

Johannesburg, South Africa — Resthaven Ministries is proud to announce the official opening of its new home for senior citizens at the New Life Centre, taking place on Mandela Day, 18 July 2025.  The opening ceremony will mark a significant milestone in the organisation’s commitment to providing care, dignity, and independence for vulnerable elderly individuals aged 60 and above.

In the spirit of Nelson Mandela’s legacy of compassion and service, the new facility has been designed as a safe, welcoming, and affordable space for senior citizens who are able and wish to retain their independence, while still receiving the support and community they need to thrive.

“This home is more than a building; it’s a vision fulfilled—a place where our elders can feel secure, respected, and at peace,” said Neil Williams, the CEO of Resthaven Ministries.  “We believe that everyone deserves a place they can truly call home, regardless of their circumstances.”
