NOVEMBER – AND LAST OF 2021 – NEWSLETTER
Hi Everyone
Christmas is around the corner! And, although it’s been a tough year for many of us, we are still here! Praise God! Many of us have lost loved ones since this horrible pandemic had started, and we all at Resthaven Ministries extend our deepest condolences to everyone that had to go through that grief!
To the people who had stood by us through thick and thin, I say:
We would not have coped without you!! May you be blessed beyond your wildest imaginations for helping us care for our HIV+ orphans, abandoned children and elderly!
It has been a real challenge making ends meet, ensuring that the utilities on our homes are paid and that our caregivers – who so richly deserve more than we have been able to provide – receive their due at month-end! But we always tackle each day with absolute faith and hope, praising God for opening His Hand with regard to our finances and food, whether our eyes can see it or not!
One thing that touches my heart immensely is the fact that our staff pull at the short end of the stick more often than not! While our children and elderly are blessed with gifts and meals, which we are profoundly grateful for – believe me! – the staff, who do not earn what they are worth, are rather neglected. If anyone out there can help us spoil our staff this season of giving, our hearts would be yours forevermore!
As we wrap up 2021, we would like to extend an invitation to our Year End Function on the 11th December, I had previously forwarded the invitations. It is going to be a lot of fun as the children will be doing a talent show, fashion show and carols will be sung by us all!
