Hi Everyone,

We’re back 😊 sharing our news about our children and elders for the month of September. I hope you all had an amazing Heritage Day, whether you braaied, gardened or whatever you did! 😊

Our kids went all out to celebrate this day

I came across a saying that SO reflected my feelings about you all – “YOU ARE OUR PARTNERS IN A HEAVENLY CALLING” and quite frankly, that just says how much you all mean to us in a nutshell!!

This month has been especially tough, and because the utilities on our homes are our first priority, it’s our precious staff who suffers!! If you can help, it would be appreciated more than words could ever express!!

In a NewsDay article I read on the 5th September, it sid that there are more than 11,000 children who die of hunger and malnutrition in our country annually. This is SO sad, it just stresses how important it is for us to keep our hearts, minds and hands open to those who may never be able to repay!!

Our girls had an AWEsome time on a day trip, even learnt some self-defence tricks.

We have soccer-crazy boys whose greatest wish currently is joining a soccer tournament as shown on the picture below. However, the cost of this tournament is rather beyond our abilities, and to be quite frank, I don’t think they are ready to travel abroad.

And the birthdays for October is as follows:

Heidi at Camelia House will be 83 on the 28th, our beloved Housemother at Camelia, Agnes is 39 on the 14th, and the precious Housemother at David House, Ethel, is 39 on the 12th. Our other McIvor, Nizaam will be 41 on the 3rd and our driver, Nick is 70 on the 2nd. Charmaine, our fundraiser is 52 on the 26th.

What else can I tell you? 😊 Our children take their work seriously when it comes to cleaning the bus that drops and collects them from school as you can see below:

Talking about cars, we are absolutely thrilled to share that our Giffie had passed his driver’s licence!! HUGE thanks to our precious donors who had made this possible.
