Last newsletter for 2025

Dearest Friends,

Here we are again at the end of another year!! Oh my word, and what a year it was!! We battled, we cried, we sweated over the tough times, we laughed, jumped for joy at times and through it all we trusted our Almighty God for favour and blessings!!

With this last Newsletter of 2025, we pray all of you have a tremendous Christmas Holiday and we pray for God’s abundance and inimitable goodness and grace to pursue us into the New Year!! ALL of us, not only Resthaven Ministries residents and staff!! 😊

Unfortunately, our beloved donors of birthday gifts are going through a very tough time, and are unable to assist in this manner anymore. We pray for a big turn-around in their lives, they deserve so much more than what they are currently experiencing!! Our thoughts and prayers are with them now and into the coming year!!

We don’t have much news on our home for the elderly, except that everyone is happy, loved and kept safe – thanks to visits and the support of all of you!!

Our children, on the other hand, have a lot of news – Jabu is having his matric dance today, the 26th November. Here he is – ready to go, standing with our caregiver Emily

Skylar was chosen as Player-of-the-Year in soccer, and we are so proud of this achievement for him!!

It’s Prince’s last year in primary school, and this young man is excelling in his school work!! We pray that, like his brother Jabu, he will reach his potential in high school as well.

Our boy Giffie, who recently got his driver’s licence and had his 19th birthday, will be doing his matric in the coming year and we are rooting for him to do as well in his exams as he did at the driving school 😊

And our little lady Valentine is training to be part of scholar patrol 😊

Our little Katie, who has grown so much and is no longer in our care, but has gone out into the world to make a difference, has recently excelled at a course she did.

Our kids have lots of planned activities coming up for the Festive Season. They will be going to a Festival of Lights, the planetarium, they will be blessed with Santa Shoe Box gifts, as well as lots of treats and outings, like the Vac Fest and Character Company camps.

We would like you ALL to know that because of you, our children have access to safety, support and a nurturing environment where they can grow and thrive. And our residents in the home for the aged are reminded daily that they are seen, cared for, and deeply valued. These quiet miracles of your support do not happen in grand headlines, but in the small, tender moments your giving make possible.

Your commitment to our cause is more than financial support – it’s a beacon of hope that reminds us that we are not alone in this journey. You’ve made yourself a part of our family, and your kindness is woven into the fabric of everything we do!!

From all of us at Resthaven, thank you for your heart, your belief in our mission and your steady encouragement. We are SO grateful to walk this path with you 😊

Once again, we wish you the very best for the coming holidays, a blessed Christmas filled with love and joy and eyes on Jesus and a 2026 absolutely crammed with God’s richest blessings!!

Lots of love to everyone,

Resthaven’s Fundraisers
